The AIM Comprehensive Annual Health Assessment
"I provide a 5 star rating for my experience using the AIM Institute of Lifestyle Medicine’s Executive Assessment. The staff were knowledgeable, professional, and respectful of time schedules while providing time for questions.
The service was all inclusive and provided a comprehensive picture to me. I have established a baseline to measure my health now, and in future to monitor changes. To accomplish all tests and appointments in one beautiful location with a power blocked amount of time was an invaluable service"

I thought the AIM experience was very worthwhile. I recommended that both of my partners attend and they also think the same. I have made immediate changes to my lifestyle, some relatively small, that should allow me to enjoy a longer fuller life! The benefits of a closely monitored health care plan and access to professionals to help individualize that plan is invaluable.

I am a motivated, 51 year old that actually loves to exercise. Problem was that I hit the wall with my weight being higher than ideal and didn’t know what I was doing wrong. When I heard about what AIM was doing with metabolic testing, I was quick to sign up. After one session with Zach Weston I learned so much and came out with a strategic and scientific plan to reach my recommended goal. One week in and I feel so great that I’m not second-guessing my workouts and have a solid plan to increase my cardiac health and reach my ideal weight. I had no idea what heart rate zones were and that I was working at too high a level that could not attack my fat!! AIM delivered a professional, high-tech assessment that has given me the concrete information and tools eg. Heart rate monitor, I need to move forward with my cardio workouts, my ideal caloric intake and a method to track my calories and daily percentages for fat, protein and carbohydrates. Thank you for inspiring me to keep on going while altering my workouts to be the most beneficial for me.

It was, I see by my journal, in 2007 that I decided to change my life.
One of my late fathers wishes for me was to lose weight as my weight was unhealthy. I was reading books feverishly to equip myself with the information I needed, but as my late father said, a job worth doing is worth doing well.
So it was that I simultaneously embarked upon two projects - one, lose weight and two become physically active.
My life changed the day I met Zach Weston. Together Zach and I set realistic and specific weight loss goals to help me commit to living a healthy lifestyle. Zach tailored my workouts to meet my needs integrating exercise as part of my healthy lifestyle ensuring my safe and healthy weight loss.
Being physically active has brought a multitude of benefits to me besides seeing lower numbers on the scale. To date I have lost 170 lbs, ran a 5km race and enjoy cycling. Zach's expertise, constant encouragement and understanding continues to make my journey towards a healthy lifestyle a success.
Don't let fear hold you back!

Congratulations and thanks Dixie! It's been a pleasure working with you!
Dixie achieved her results through consistent and regular supervised, with nutritional counselling and exercise guidance based on regular metabolic tests to ensure progress.
The fitness and metabolism testing I received from Zach and his team at Iron Heart Fitness was a great experience for me.
As a marathon runner trying to qualify for the 2012 Olympics I feel it's important to not only have good intuition and instincts about how my body moves and operates but also feel it's crucial to scientifically test and understand my physiology.
Although finally knowing my actual 'numbers' such as V02 max has been helpful, the real advantage of working with Zach is his knowledge of how to apply these numbers to my training.
Zach was able to take the data from the tests we performed and create a personalized program for me.
Zach covered all the important elements that a marathon runner needs to pay attention to, from nutrition all the way to specific volume and intensity of running workouts I could do to improve my performance.
I've been able to take that program and use it to enhance my everyday training. It's been a great experience and definitely one I would recommend to fellow marathon runners, as well as anyone else out there concerned with their health and well-being.

I wanted to let you know that your training plan for me worked out splendidly.
In the recent New York World Police and Fire games I placed 2nd in the 800 meter sprint and 3rd in the 15K time trial.
Certainly a direct result of the training plan I was on. The training was tough, but worth it.

I just wanted to extend my sincere appreciation for your help with my testing.
Zach’s team was nothing but professional, encouraging and positive. All three traits are essential for any athtlete's environment to have him or her do their best.
The specific detailed information which you gathered with regards to my V02 / Thresholds / Zones and metabolic rates will undoubtedly allow me to achieve my goals in the sport.
I have learned that if you can take away the guess work with the training ( ie intensity / frequency / duration ) you open yourself up for way more potential.
Personally for me this is a key component in order for me to reach my goals in triathlons.
Thank you for all your Help!

"Zach Weston has given me the confidence I need to train while working with my illness and maintaining personal safety. Their expertise shows in all aspects of their programming and were able to meet me at the level I was at, building a program that suited both my wants and needs, and offering encouragement and support throughout the workout. They speak at a level that I am able to understand and provide a safe environment that allows me to take control of my illness and work towards good health. Iron Heart Fitness has given me the tools I need for today and the future to build a heart-healthy lifestyle."

We have been working out under the watchful eyes of Zach Weston three morning a week for approximately six months. There is a variety of cardio equipment and the routine is never boring. The Kinesiologists are very innovative with the strength training and George and I have learned many challenging exercise routines that require nothing more than a fitness ball. Sometimes it takes a little push to get there, but when we are finished we both feel great.
My husband had bypass heart surgery in July 2005, following the surgery and incorporating these lifestyle changes of regular cardiovascular and strength training, he has had excellent results on all stress tests. He feels great and looks great.
I have not had any major heart problems but have been diagnosed with Heart Disease and take medication to keep it under control. I want to be as fit as I possibly can and it is comforting to know my vital statistics are carefully monitored during exercise. The Kinesiologists are extremely knowledgeable and concerned for the different needs of their clients. On top of all this, the best part is they make it fun! We both strongly recommend this program for anyone interested in leading a heart healthy lifestyle and improving their cardiovascular and strength levels.

“I partnered with Zach in early 2010 as part of my preparation for an ultramarathon I am running this May in Africa. Very early into my first meeting with Zach I knew I was working with an expert in the field of exercise science. Zach's passion and knowledge of exercise science energized me and made what could have been a painful experience a really enjoyable one. I will continue to work with Zach as he's already helped me immensely with my running through the V02max and anaerobic threshold assessment and the metabolic assessment he performed. I recommend Zach to anyone wanting to raise their performance to the next level.” March 9, 2010

I would especially like to thank Zach Weston, Cardiac Exercise Specialist. His help and role it the key reason behind the enjoyment I have found in exercising and various sports. Exercise has become a daily part of my life. It is important to me not only becauase I understand the health benefits much better now, but simply because I enjoy the physical activity. feeling good about my body, and because it is wonderful to be able to do things like ice skating, walking, and swimming. My only regret is that I didn't understand how important it always has been to find or make the time for all this before I had the heart attack. I feel very lucky and extremely grateful to have been given another chance.

I am writing to thank Zach Weston for his excellent work. I know from my reading that cardiac programs have a proven record of reducing hospital readmissions and, indeed, mortalities. This serious purpose is enhanced by a very positive and people friendly atmosphere that makes it actually enjoyable to take part in rehabilitation.

Zach displays good clinical judgment skills and is appropriately cautious in difficult or complicated situations. He is hard working, efficient and doesn't hesitate to go beyond what is expected of him.
Dr. M. Maingi (Cardiologist - Credit Valley Hospital, Mississauga, Ontario)
His background in Kinesiology and particular interest in cardiac rehabilitation made his contribution to this clinic valuable. I would highly recommend Zach for cardiac rehabilitation and kinesiology.
